You've just come through a time when career, power, and money were first on your list to concentrate on, and you were giving your home a lot of thought, too. This month your social life will start to get more attention, and that's a trend that will increase quite a bit as you move through the balance of 2009 and into 2010. Last month was a huge month for change, especially on the career and home front, as we had two major eclipses, July 7 and 21, and this month another eclipse is due on August 5. The next one will be very positive in regard to fun, friends, and community developments. I will give you the full scoop in a moment, so stay with me. I would first like to focus on your home or a housing situation, which appears to be growing in importance later this month.

You seem to have temporarily backed off plans for your home to give yourself a bit of a rest, but those home and family matters will heat up again later this month, after August 25. That's when Mars - the planet that rules Aries and that is in charge of taking good care of you - will move into your home sector for a seven-week stay.

From August 25 to October 15, you will again go back to concentrate on your home-related endeavor and there's a good chance you'll feel very determined to see it though to completion. You may hear of something a little earlier than August 25, near August 21 and the days surrounding this date, due to a trigger date from the eclipse. There are several cycles going on in your chart, all pointing to home-related changes that will help you to find the right solutions to any plans you have now.

There is one date in October - October 15 - that I would like you to watch that could prove critical for a home, real estate, or family breakthrough. That's when Mars will reach 29 degrees Cancer, and will run over the spot in the sky that the solar eclipse Cancer sensitized last month, on July 21. I always think of an eclipse as burning a hole in the sky. When warrior Mars runs over it in his path around the Sun (a process that takes two years to fully complete), Mars will break open that scab that was formed on the sky's skin - that will happen October 15. I feel you could easily see a positive development at that time, particularly if you are a late-born Aries with a birthday that falls within five days of April 19. This would also be true if you have natal planets at 29 degrees or very near that degree.

If you don't finish up home-related matters by mid-October, your attention will be diverted elsewhere after that, but you will suddenly be drawn back into this discussion on December 31, for that's the date of the next eclipse in Cancer. That eclipse, a full moon lunar eclipse, will again highlight your home December 31 in Cancer, the next in the series. Your career will be lit up at that time in a very, very big way, January 15.

Eclipses are some of the most powerful configurations that the universe sends us. Last month you may have had a career breakthrough on July 7 when your name and work came to the attention of high-level VIPs. Sometimes an eclipse will assert itself one month to the day later, plus or minus five days, so keep your eyes open during August 1-10 for good career news, too.

This month I mentioned there will be a third eclipse, and this one will be in Aquarius on August 5, a full moon lunar eclipse, falling in your house of friendship, communities, groups, and social interaction. It is likely a friend will be the basis for your mediation. You may be going to a celebration for a friend - it may be her wedding or she may be the subject of an important birthday party, as two examples. This will be the last in a series of eclipses that have come our way every six months in Leo and Aquarius since February 2008. The last one we saw this year arrived on January 25.

With Mars, your ruler, sending fine vibrations to this eclipse, you may be traveling with a friend at this full moon, August 5, and you may take a friend with you. This would be a wonderful way this eclipse could work out. Make sure the person you take with you, if you do take someone, is someone you know well and feel fairly certain that will be easy to travel with you.

As an aside, the other weekends that would be special for an eclipse would be August 1-2 and August 15-16. Of course, you may go away for longer than a weekend and the first half of August would be a wonderful time to go.

Let's turn our attention back to the eclipse of August 5 and take a closer look.

With eclipses, you never know how things will go, however, for they bring change from the outside world in, and bring up events over which you have no control. In the case of this eclipse, it's possible that you might have a falling out with a friend and at the time, decide you cannot have this person in your life any longer. Alternatively, you may not see eye to eye with someone in a club chat room or other virtual community to which you belong.

In a more gentle manifestation of this eclipse, you may learn your friend is moving away and that you won't see each other much in the future. That's always sad - perhaps your friend is going abroad to college, getting married, or simply relocating to a distant city for work. Whatever the reason, it appears your lifestyles will be very different in months and years ahead.

One other way things may turn out is that a friend may need you because she has found herself in a crisis, and you seem the best person to lend a hand. (With a lunar eclipse, it does seem that the person you will think about is a "she" rather than a "he.") Something will be finishing or crystallizing. Truth is always made very apparent at eclipses, in a way it has not been before. There is finality about what happens, too - eclipses tend to be non-negotiable.

We live in virtual worlds too, and with a full moon eclipse in your community and networking house, you need to be careful about what you post on social websites like Facebook or Twitter. You could easily fall prey to sharing too much Information - more than anyone needs to know. Employers look at these sites to learn about you - including all the things you won't want them to know ten years from now. Whatever you write in email or on a site is public forever. Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, there's no way to get it back in.

Eclipses tend to bring things into the extreme ends of the spectrum, so let's hope your eclipse in August will be positive in every way. This is very possible, because Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will be orbiting in the neighborhood of this eclipse in deep space - nine degrees separate Jupiter from the lunar eclipse. Although I wish Jupiter were a little closer (say, four or five degrees), Jupiter may be helpful to you because in 2009 he is guarding your eleventh house of friendship, which is the very part of the chart that we are speaking about now.

If you were born on April 3 plus or minus five days, you will be in direct line of this eclipse. You will be most likely to feel it, and to benefit from it.

Now let's turn to other days to watch this month.

One of your toughest days of the month will be when Mars will be in very hard angle to Uranus on August 18. Your sister or brother seems to be on your mind. Be careful what you say - be good to your sibling on this day, and don't argue. (Alas, this aspect has a plus or minus of one whole week, so you'll have to be careful. It may, alternatively, have a physical manifestation. Protect against falls and keep bones of the shoulders, arm, hands, and wrist safe.)

I would not sign a contract on August 18 if I were you, nor would I do so on August 21 - it would not likely be in force very long. You may want to leave open a day or two on either side to this aspect.

One of your favorite days of the month will be August 13, when Mars, your guardian planet, will reach out to good fortune Jupiter. It's due to be a grand day for travel, speaking, presenting, negotiating, writing, editing - you will shine in any of these communication arts. Your powers of persuasion will be very high at this time and you are likely to find accord. If you work in publishing or broadcasting, special opportunities will surface, so be assertive about sending out query letters and following up on leads.

On the new moon August 20 - and it is a normal new moon, not an eclipse - you will have a fantastic chance to find romance. This new moon will work like your fairy godmother to find you someone special, for it will light your fifth house of true love. You have not had a new moon like this one all year, so this does mark your best point of 2009 for love. If you are alone, you might not be for long. How exciting!

Best romantic dates: August 4-6, 13-16, 20, 22-26, 28, and 31. Looking over this list, realize that love will be doubly wonderful in the dates that follow the new moon August 20.

If you are attached, you and your partner may now reignite things and draw closer. Mars, your ruler, will be very sweetly angled to this new moon, a good sign that love will be in the air!

Does your birthday fall on April 18 or within five days of this date? (The closer to this date, the better.) In your case, the stars have written your name in the sky with the brightest stars.

If you hope to have a baby - this new moon in Leo (28 degrees) will be your friend too, for the fifth house is the area of your chart that governs conception - then see a specialist soon. If you have had problems with conception, this is your best time of the year for you to see a successful outcome.

Do you work in a creative field, or with creative people? If so, you'll be in a really good position at this new moon, August 20, for you will find ways to impress others with your very original ideas.

There is one day coming just before the new moon that I will point out, August 18, which would be excellent for doing some creative brainstorming for new ideas. With Mars in perfect angle to Neptune, you'll not have to try hard to get inspiration.

Your attention to detail appears to be quite strong now, for Mercury and Saturn are orbiting close. Nothing, it seems, will escape your eagle eye. Your willingness to keep polishing your project until it's the best it can be - accepting nothing less - is one reason of many why you will be so successful with higher-ups. When promotions are doled out in mid-January, you'll be on the short list for a promotion.

Summary

After July's changes in career and perhaps on the home front, you may not be ready for still more shifts, but they're on the way. A third eclipse is due August 5, in the form of a full moon, and will bring a female friendship into focus. If you've neglected your friend, consider taking a little weekend trip together to catch up. On the other hand, if your friend has been troublesome and perhaps deceptive, you will need to talk.

Now it is true that on an eclipse, sometimes a person disappears from view, and in your case, that would be a top executive or client who suddenly announces a departure. This is a full moon eclipse, which is feminine in nature, so it could be a prominent woman who is leaving. Keep your eyes open. This will shuffle things up, but that can be really good because an opening always provides opportunity as it ripples through the company or industry. If you need to schedule an important career-oriented meeting after the full moon eclipse, then do so on Thursday, August 13. On that day Mars will be in perfect angle to Jupiter and the moon will be in Taurus. Things should go really well for you! After that, Monday, August 17, could work out well, specifically if you plan to generate artistic or creative work.

Last month, on July 21, you had an eclipse in your ninth house of foreign people and places. This may work out that you will be transferred to a foreign country, or discover that you will be working in the international division of a company. Or, you may find that if you need funding, the investor who funds you may be foreign-born. If you heard no news about travel or activity in a foreign country last month, you might on August 21, plus or minus five days, as sometimes it takes exactly one month (right to the day) for that news to arrive. Give August 21 a plus or minus of four days.

It does seem likely you will travel much more in the weeks and months ahead than you have been, so get your bags ready. The trips you take will be very short ones, within a day's drive of your vicinity (say, 200 to 500 miles), so knowing this, you may want to get your car in good working condition. If you travel by train, sign up for frequent traveler rewards - the kind Amtrak offers in the USA. You might be staying in hotels at your location too, so rewards given there would be wise to get. After all, I do see that you may be on the road quite a bit!

If anything should happen in your career that seems the opposite of this good news I see for you, say, if you lose a job instead of being promoted or offered a new job, stay optimistic. With your fantastic aspects, this would be hard to believe, but then this will be the way the universe will open a space in your life. Without a space, you may not be able to welcome something infinitely better. Later you will be glad it all happened. Think back to January 25 - something that occurred back then will be linked to what happens now.

Right now Jupiter is in weak, retrograde orbit, and that's been happening since June 15. As soon as Jupiter turns to direct orbit on October 13, you should see a career breakthrough. If you feel you've not been able to make substantial progress over the past six weeks, you now know why - it was Jupiter, the planet of profit and expansion, now in your house of career success, that wasn't working hard enough for you so far. Actually, October 13 through February 17 will be an exceptionally bright career time. Keep those dates handy. (The full moon, February 13, will be glorious for you!)

Last month, you had a pivotal, friendly solar (new moon) eclipse on July 21 and that eclipse may have brought you important papers to sign. If not, you may see that contract or other important document materialize on August 21 plus or minus five days. If you were born May 18 or within five days of this date, you would feel that eclipse quite strongly.

Now let's turn to your home, other real estate concerns, and family life, which will also bring you incredibly strong progress, not only now, but for weeks and months to come.

The new moon (not an eclipse) August 20 will bring you a new and very strong emphasis on your home - moving, renovation or reorganization, and maintenance. Or, it may be that you are thinking about a summer cottage or other property you manage or lease. Our parents are ruled by the same fourth house of home, and so you may be riveted on a family member, most likely someone in your immediate family, at this time, too. Opportunities will begin to come up, and you'll need to be ready to take full advantage of them. A new moon's energy will always last two weeks but is strongest in the first week, and stronger yet in the first three days after that new moon appears, say, August 20-23.

What makes this all so exiting is that Mars will amplify the energies of this new moon this fall, again putting the spotlight on your home environment from October 13 to June 7, 2010, a very long time.

During that long stretch, on December 21 Mars will shut down for a rest when it goes retrograde. If you don't settle things just after the August 20 new moon, or while Mars is moving nicely through your home sector in the last quarter of this year, you can look forward to Mars' BEST energy from March 10 through June 7. Actually, the date of January 30, the full moon, will be a very strong one for you.

As you see, you have a wide window of opportunity to get things "just so" in terms of your residence, a second home, or other property you manage or would like to create. If you try to go beyond the dates I have listed, you will find the going harder. If you don't settle things within this period, it won't be the fault of your stars, dear Taurus.

I mentioned earlier that you were going through an expensive period due to Mars' position in your second house of income. One day when you'll have to watch your pennies, especially when socializing, will be August 18. With Mars in harsh angle to the Sun, you'll yearn to spend freely and enjoy a touch of pampering or luxury, but you may not be aware of how much you are spending until later. Romantically, dear Taurus, it appears that if you have been dating, you are coming to a crossroad, and that will all come about in mid-September. This will be an exciting month. It will be as though you were sitting in your living room and quite magically you began to see your walls move outward to allow you a far bigger space, and at the same time, it will be as if your windows grew huge until almost all of your walls turned to glass. And in this same dream, your home will rise up, as if hoisted to the highest peak, to afford you a breathtakingly panoramic view of the city and countryside below and beyond. Meanwhile Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, will oppose Saturn, an influence that will allow Saturn to balance the more volatile energies of unpredictable Uranus. Uranus will also cause you to be innovative and experimental, open to new ideas, and to be resourceful yourself, but not so much that you throw out valuable parts of the past.

With planets in Aquarius, the Internet or new digital forms - say, in software, in biology, or scientific research with mathematical algorithms - may play a large role in what comes up.

If your birthday falls on June 4, plus or minus five days, this full moon eclipse will benefit you in ways that may amaze you.

There will be developments to grow at this eclipse, and because this is a full moon, you may see a culmination of a project you began previously. In fact, it may be tied to an initiation you made at the last eclipse in Aquarius on January 25, 2009, or when this family of eclipses appeared in February 2008 or August 2008. Still, all eclipses bring in brand new elements and opportunities in ways we don't expect.

As a Gemini, you are well versed in the communication arts, so you may get an opportunity to use those innate talents in publishing or broadcasting projects. Or, you may get a chance to get some extraordinary publicity for work well done.

The ninth house, where the energy of this eclipse will be based, also rules higher education. That's a positive side of the eclipse - as a Cancer, sometimes you think a little too much about the past and often are prone to analyzing whether or not you made the right decision.
