You may now surprise yourself on how far you've come, and by fall you will develop even more impressively.

Mars, the energy planet, is now touring Gemini, not the easiest place for you, for Mars is in your partnership sector, giving your partner or even competitors, detractors, or adversaries the enviable dominant position. They seem to know it too, and they are using their power by being vocal or possibly quite critical. When these types throw down the gauntlet, you are wise to their shenanigans and can put them in their place as long as you don't blow your cool. As a brainy, intellectual sign, you are able to stay objective, even if the person in question becomes annoying or even outrageous. Fortunately, you are nearing the end of this challenging period, for Mars will depart this house on August 25.

Jupiter, your guardian planet, will be retrograde until mid-October, so you won't be able to rely on luck to get out of tight situations. You won't have to. Sagittarius often lives by their wits, and this month that talent will again help you untie the most complicated Houdini-like knots if needed. Watching a Sagittarius in action is actually quite a fascinating experience for the rest of us - you do all this so gracefully, you seem not to even break a sweat. The month begins with a full moon eclipse on August 5 in Aquarius at 14 degrees. Aquarius is an air sign that blends beautifully with your fire sign Sagittarian Sun. You may be wrapping up a critically important negotiation at this time, or getting papers ready to sign. With really good days and really adverse days falling side by side in parts of August, you would be wise to choose the right day to sign. I never advise signing on an eclipse, because eclipses - known to have the strength of three new or full moons rolled into one - kick up an enormous amount of cosmic dust, so it's not always easy to see the terrain clearly. I suggest signing instead on August 12 or 13, two stellar days for you.

Fortunately, Mars will be very well angled to this eclipse, suggesting that you will have a partner, lawyer, agent, or other middleman who will be very helpful to you near August 5. On the days I chose, August 12 or 13, this intermediary person in your life will quite noticeably prove to be a gem.

The August 5 eclipse could bring exceptional opportunity to travel a short distance away from your base, within a day's drive or train ride of say 200 or 300 miles. While your trip may be for fun and relaxation, it may also coax your creativity to flow more freely, often more possible if you are in a new setting.

Travel may also be for a business meeting that will prove to be lucrative. Keep your eye on clients based just out of town, for those are the ones that may be the most profitable of all, not only now but in months, and possibly even years, to come. If you don't go for business, you may go to look at property you own, want to buy, rent, or sell, or to visit a family member. See what comes up near August 5.

If you were born on or within five days of December 5 you will feel this eclipse most, but you also stand to benefit from it most, too.

More travel opportunities may come up after the new moon August 20, but this new moon is one to watch because it will be a harbinger of a larger trend that will take you straight through mid-2010. You seem to have something percolating on foreign shores, or soon will. If that doesn't ring true for you, then it will be that an opportunity involving university study or a grant or research project will involve you, or that a chance to do something big with the media, in TV or publishing, will begin to light your imagination. All these areas glow for you, and you can't even see how huge the seeds you may be planting now could grow.

You need to get as much done now as you can, because you will be running into a confusing, unproductive month in September. Mercury will retrograde all next month, and planets will be clashing in unusually harsh ways in the middle of September. You will need to sit through the storm and wait for the clouds to clear, which will happen in October. Your home situation and career will be the focus, and those are heavy-duty areas, so keep your schedule light next month. Sign nothing in September and agree to no plans, commitments, or new ventures. I suggest you not be on the road, for it looks like you'll want to be around to attend to whatever comes up.

September will be a time to look back and fix flaws, but not look forward to new plans - not quite yet. Once you get to October, you will be in fine shape, but you will have to make it through September. If you can settle things in August, do, but don't push too hard at the end of the month, for you will start to see talks slow down quite a bit as you and the rest of the world get caught in the strong undertow of Mercury retrograde.

As you go through this month, keep an eye to home/property and family details, for the full moon early next month will bring things to a final climax. Sign papers early in August in anticipation of actions you may take on that full moon, such as to move or close on a house, for example.

A difficult day for your career may turn out to be August 21, or even the day prior, due to unexpected news that will pull you in a different direction. It's possible that things going on at home will demand your attention, just at a time when things are so critical at work. See how things play out, but I suggest to you that you avoid making any promises or commitments on August 21.

Once Mars enters Cancer and your eighth house on August 25 until October 15, you will focus on raising money for a large goal you have in mind. Before you get to this date, you will have Venus filling this house, a harbinger of the large bounty you can raise if you are persuasive enough.

Even if you are, talks won't be easy as you get closer to the end of the month. Pluto will make a very strong opposition to Mars on August 26, so you are likely to encounter quite a bossy, self-centered demanding type who will name terms you may find to be way out of line. How you resolve this impasse will exhibit your skill in negotiation but also reflect your character, your situation, and how much you are willing to do to get the money.

Some negotiations are not meant to be, however, and if you find this one demands too much and delivers too little, you might just surprise the other side by standing up and walking away. I am not saying you will definitely do this, because clearly you will be passionately and fervently looking for cash at the end of August, but you can and will leave this deal if the other side is unwilling to give an inch. With Mercury about to retrograde, the person who changes his or her mind could be you.

This month could be quite romantic if you are getting engaged or married, which is actually quite possible. If so, how exciting will that be!

If you aren't earning more, you may be spending more, perhaps for something you've wanted to buy for a long time. This eclipse is in digital Aquarius, so if you do spend, it seems more likely you'll choose a new computer, a flat screen TV, smartphone, super-duper digital stove, or new fangled refrigerator. Machines, computers, smartphones, and other new technology seem to have a special enchantment for you now.

Mars will be beautifully oriented toward this full moon, and this energy planet will be based in your sixth house of workaday assignments most of the month. It is clear that the excellent quality of your work is the driving force behind your rising stock in the marketplace. If you are self-employed, you will find customers and clients busting the doors down to get hold of your goods or services.

During most of August, you'll be busy, and there's almost no indication that this month you will be taking off for a holiday. You might want to, but any travel you do will have to take place over the weekends, or at the soonest, during the last week of August. You may greet this news with enthusiasm, though, for the difficult economy has changed the course of culture somewhat. It's now chic to say you're working around the clock, rather than lolling on a beach and working on your tan!

More financial considerations will come up at the new moon in Leo, 28 degrees, on August 20. This will be your point in the month to review how you've been saving, spending, and investing, and to make any changes you'd like to do for the future 12 months. Again, this new moon will be very encouraging, and you might even decide to get some advice on savvy tax planning. You may negotiate with your credit card company (or cut up a card or two) or change your cell phone billing plan.

If you work on commission or expect to negotiate a royalty or licensing fee, this new moon will make it all happen. If you need to negotiate a benefits package at the start of an employment deal, this will be when talks will begin. If you have been downsized, ask for severance on or after the new moon, August 20, if that timing works for you. You may put in a claim to an insurance company or send in an application for financial aid at this time, say, for college tuition. If so, your timing will be perfect.

If you need to raise a great deal of money for a big plan, this new moon would be the perfect time to swing into action. Present your business plan, or fill out your application for a mortgage and be ready to see many high-level individuals in the first seven days that follow August 20. While you will have two weeks of extra strong luck, it will be even stronger in the first week. I love this new moon because it will be so cordial to both Mars and Pluto - and that's powerful!

There is another reason that you need to work with a sense of urgency and purpose at the end of August. September is due to be a difficult month. Mercury will be retrograde all month, and that means you are sure to face delays.

There will also be some very rough aspects from September 15 to 23, and you will suddenly face much opposition that you had not anticipated. If you get started now to see as many people as possible, you will be working within your best time zone. If you can't finish your deals in August, then table them until October. Conditions will be changing rapidly, and you won't be able to see just how much so until you get deeper into the end of the year. Have faith that changes will benefit you in time - just go with the flow as things come up now and in September.

Romantically, with Mars about to enter your seventh house of commitment, you will know precisely how strong your relationship is very soon. A strong relationship will get stronger, but a weak or struggling one will hit turbulence and possibly break under the strain.

The eclipses of July 7 and 21 were very powerful, and may have led you to make a number of decisions. If you love the person you are dating, you may see your timetable to get married move up dramatically in the weeks to come! Yes, you may get engaged or married now - not a year or two from now! However, if there were things festering under the surface of your relationship, those eclipses were to bring them to light.

Now Mars brings a big spotlight to relationship affairs. In your case, Mars is on assignment to move things forward and to help you see the truth of your alliance. If your union is happy, you will adore Venus' presence in this house all month from August 1 to 25. Mars will enter when Venus leaves, August 25 to October 15. This is your big month! The full moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius at 14 degrees will arrive on August 5. This looks to be a red-letter day for you. Because it is in your sign, it will affect you with double strength, and will have the power to change the way you see yourself and present yourself to others.

If you were born on February 3, plus or minus five days, this eclipse will be speaking your name. Keep in mind, however, that you may have other planets in your chart that will be touched, so just keep your antenna up.

You have been so busy growing, maturing, and evolving that you may have been hanging on to an outdated self-image and not giving yourself enough credit. If so, this eclipse will allow you to revise how you see yourself and also make at least one important announcement. Your lifestyle may change, or you may meet someone who will become very important to you. Eclipses also bring endings, so you may see a woman say goodbye too, and in that departure, you may feel the passage of time.

Years that hold an eclipse in our sign often are highly eventful, memorable years. You have been seeing eclipses in Aquarius and Leo since February 2008, arriving in pairs every six months. This month's eclipse is the last, and after this you can rest. Admittedly, eclipses in one's own sign can demand quite a bit of adjustment to a whole new reality.

The new series of eclipses are moving on to Cancer and Capricorn, involving areas of your chart that are and will be somewhat easier to experience. Last month those eclipses began, so you felt the first on July 7 and the second on July 21. There will be no more eclipses in Aquarius until 2017.

Not all eclipses deliver their news immediately, although many do. If you don't notice anything changing, don't assume you won't hear something later. You might because eclipses have an area of influence for up to a year. If you don't seen any shifts and especially if you were born near February 3, then you may one month to the day later, so note September 5, plus or minus five days - you may hear something then in regard to a very personal matter. Also, when Mars opposes the degrees of the eclipse, you may have news about a partner. That will happen three times, on November 18, 2009, and on January 18 and May 4, 2010.

Your ruler, Uranus, is still retrograde, and so is Jupiter in Aquarius, and when these two big planets will go forward, you'll notice that good things are suddenly happening near October 13 when Jupiter starts working harder for you, and again later, on and near December 1, when Uranus turns on the juice. As you see, you are moving into a very important and very upbeat phase.

For now, events from the outside will begin to come in and change your world in ways you could not have anticipated. That's what eclipses do, and that's why their news always seems so random and sudden. You are fortunate in that this eclipse is very friendly, especially to Mars, which is now circulating in your house of true love. Mars will be working hard to boost your social life, and if you're single, you're in luck, for this eclipse could bring an introduction. Because this is a full moon, you will be noticed and in the spotlight, so this could be a tender and quite exciting time for your love life.

You may be thinking seriously about marriage or of making a serious promise to your partner. In business, you may take on a business partner, agent, or manager, or you may hire another type of professional. Doctors, lawyers, and accountants fall under the seventh house too, so if you need to work with an expert, you will find a way to do so enthusiastically at the new moon August 20.

This new moon will open an exciting opportunity because it will be so cordial to both Mars and Pluto. This shows that the collaboration or partnering might be to further creative ideas, and if so, it will be done very successfully.

At work, you'll begin to get very busy once Mars enters Cancer on August 25. Mars will stay in your work area (sixth house) until October 14. Your finances will be a sore spot, so keep a close eye on those and try to avoid problems by reducing spending a little.

This month will be far more positive and productive, so try to finish up your most pressing business early in the month, and as you get to the last week, start shutting things down. Plan to resume talks in October. Your best time to sign papers will be August 12 or 13.

The hardest part of September will extend from September 15 to 23, and the hardest day of all will be September 17. Try not to schedule any important meetings or initiations for then. You went through two major eclipses last month, on July 7 and 21, in Cancer and Capricorn, and those lunar and solar events accented your relationships in love and friendship. You may have fallen in love or were focused on a certain friend. These eclipses will continue to exert their messages in your chart as the weeks unfold and their effect will be friendly and work to benefit you.

Under normal circumstances, no more eclipses would be due until December 31, 2009, and January 15, 2010, the next in this new series of Cancer-Capricorn. If you did not catch last month's forecast that I prepared for you, you may want to go back to see what I wrote (the previous month's forecast is always available on Astrology Zone.) Indeed, read last month's also to point up possible weaknesses in your close ties, if there are any.

Now a third eclipse is on the way, due August 5, and it will arrive as a full moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius at 14 degrees. Eclipses are often the harbingers of enormous change, and it is rare to see three arrive in a row, two weeks apart. We are seeing this now because this one will be the last in the series of Leo-Aquarius eclipses that have come by every six months since February 2008.

There are various ways you may feel the effects of this eclipse of August 5. First, you may hear of a family member who is in the hospital or other medical facility, like a nursing home or physical therapy center. I say family member because Mars will reach out and touch this eclipse in a positive way, and Mars will be touring your fourth house of home.

Your relative will most likely be a woman or girl because this is a lunar eclipse, and in astrology, anything lunar is feminine in nature. If you should hear of this person being infirm, you will want to be there for that person, of course - keep your schedule open so that you can be there when that person needs you.

Although I feel it is more likely this eclipse will point to someone else, there is a possibility that you might need a "tune up" and decide to see a doctor to have a procedure done. The twelfth house also rules intuition, and I firmly believe that nature gives us an inner eye to help us correct health problems early. If your instinct is to check something out, even though you have absolutely no reason to feel that anything is wrong, go ahead and have that test anyway.

Actually, your intuition will be working so well this month you should follow it, no matter what it tells you, on any subject at all!

The twelfth house rules not only facilities that help us get well, like hospitals - the ancients called them "places of confinement" - but this part of the chart also rules your psychological state. If you have been seeing a psychiatrist to work out a certain problem, you may now see a breakthrough, for full moons tend to bring things to light in an especially clear and forceful way. In that sense, you may feel enormous relief after this full moon is over. Experiences like this are often quite exciting.

You currently have Jupiter guarding your twelfth house all through 2009, so any medical, dental, or psychological help you seek this year, for yourself or those you love, should be excellent. The professional you select would more likely be esteemed and dignified with his or her work lauded by peers. If you were not completely happy with the doctor you have, this eclipse would be a good time to seek a second opinion, if you feel that's necessary.

I am enthusiastic about this new moon on August 20 because Mars, a competitive, athletic planet, and Pluto, the planet of regeneration and transformation, will powerfully support it. That's a wow in anyone's book!

Be smart and find something good to do for your body at this new moon, for the results you see in a short time should please you. If you wait until January 1 to begin your resolution for having a more fit and healthy lifestyle, you will have squandered the energy that is being so lovingly given to you now, dear Pisces. This is your time to begin, August 20, not January 1. You can hire a trainer or coach, take up a new sport, or start going to a certain new class you enjoy at the gym.

If you will be on vacation at the end of August, then find something small but significant to do for your health, perhaps by going to the hotel gym and spending a half hour there before heading out, or making it a point to swim a few laps each morning.
